The Sound of Her Voice
An intimate and inspiring chronicle of a remarkable couple who, against all odds, lived life on their own terms. From their early days at the Indiana School for the Blind to building a home, raising four children, and creating a legacy of love, determination, and achievement.
A Love Story Told Through Sound, Memory, and Courage
My Father
Born with glaucoma, Mario lost his sight before the age of four. He refused to let blindness define him—earning degrees, working, and living with quiet strength and humor.
A man of integrity, resilience, and unwavering love.
My Mother
Also blind from a young age, Jane faced the world with grace, intelligence, and a deep love for learning. She believed in possibility—and built a beautiful life alongside my father.
A woman of vision, compassion, and quiet courage.
“A moving and believable family account.”
